General Information

Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) is a professional organization for women in the public relations field. Our primary goals are to provide professional development and networking opportunities to PR professionals and to help advance the profession.

Throughout the year, WWPR provides many educational and networking opportunities including monthly professional development workshops. The organization has become well recognized for its Media Roundtable event each Spring, as well as its prestigious Woman of the Year award luncheon, which typically draws more than 200 local PR professionals to honor and celebrate the achievements of the profession.

Member benefits include a monthly newsletter with job postings and best practices, access to an online membership database and informal mentoring, educational and networking opportunities and participation in pro bono activities that support a local Washington area non profit organization focused on supporting women and their families. The WWPR newsletter reaches approximately 450 area professionals every month.
